In one of our lessons, we were taught how to use the video camera and other related equipment which we would use for our thriller intro. The main important reason why we learned how to use the camera and equipment was to prevent setbacks in our filming and for health and safety.
We were shown:- The video camera
- The tripod
- The SD memory cards
- The SD card reader
- The video drive
We were first shown how to start up the camera, were to place the battery inside the video camera, were to insert the two memory cards into the two slots. Once the camera was on we then learned how to record, stop and watch previously recorded videos.

We were secondly taught how to set up a tripod, learning how to extend the height of it, the tilt of the camera and tightening the grip on the camera for the safety of the expensive camera.

We were thirdly shown the two SD memory cards and how we were to use them correctly and which slots were for the right card in which were labeled A and B and also learning that you had to switch the switch to it to work.

We were fourthly shown the SD card reader in which you insert the card into the reader and then insert the reader into the computer via USB to access it on your the computer.

We were finally shown how to connect the video drives to the computers in which we stored all of our rough videos and edits.
